  •  How does it work?
CAI's Meals that Matter voucher booklet contains great discounts from a wide selection of restaurants and cafés around Beijing. In purchasing our Meals that Matter voucher booklet you are making a donation to CAI to enable us to continue supporting China's underprivileged children.

  • Where does the money go?
Your generous donations fund CAI's values-based arts and sports education programs, aimed to positively influence these children by emphasizing the Four C's: care, courage, confidence, commitment.  Our goal is to empower underprivileged children in China to reach their greatest potential.
There are an estimated 20 million migrant children and 58 million left-behind children in China.  The social challenges that both groups of children face often make them susceptible to low self-esteem, lack of focus and purpose, lower scholastic achievement, increased delinquency, and greater risk of being trafficked.
Donations from the campaign will go towards:
  • Purchasing sports equipment and art supplies for our programs in schools for migrant children
  • Funding our rural teacher-training programs
  • Supporting the establishment of the Promise School for gifted, rural students
  • Covering program costs such as print materials and web support

  • How can you take part?
Beginning in January 2009, you can purchase a Meals that Matter voucher booklet by contacting CAI. Once you have purchased your voucher booklet simply present your vouchers to participating establishments to enjoy good deals and huge savings.
  • How can you help even more?
Volunteer, donate or participate in the Meals that Matter ¥5 initiative
