CAI is a volunteer-powered organization, driven by the strengths and passions of those who dedicate time and attention to empowering China’s underprivileged youth. 

 

Our volunteers come from all over China and the world - over 20 countries are represented in our volunteer rosters.

Below are descriptions of our most pressing needs. We also welcome individuals whose skills or time do not fit into the descriptions below but are still interested in contributing.

Teach Art Classes in Beijing

Sign up now and share your joy for art with migrant students and help them to develop skills and appreciation for the creative arts. 

 

Activities include interviewing and recruiting volunteers; assigning tasks and responsibilities to volunteers; distributing paperwork; organizing and coordinating volunteer orientation and training; managing and updating the volunteer database; and monitoring, assessing and evaluating volunteers; and providing ongoing support for volunteers. Activities include assessing teachers’ training needs and adapting current training materials; attending preparation meetings to develop training materials; training teachers on curriculum development, innovative teaching methods, student motivation and leading workshops on specific topic areas; and providing follow-up support to participants.
