After nearly a year with CAI, operations officer Xian Warner will be leaving at the end of the month to pursue a Masters in Gender and Development at the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex.
Xian has been an invaluable member of the CAI team. Among other projects, she developed and managed the Meals that Matter campaign; explored fundraising options, including building links with embassies, corporations, international schools and chambers of commerce; and created marketing materials to increase our public profile. She has also been integral in recruiting and managing the CAI team, from volunteers to interns and staff.
Originally from Australia, Xian lived for many years in Beijing before attending the University of Melbourne, where she received a degree in Gender Studies and Asian studies. She has previously worked in a development assistance consultancy and the United Nations.
Xian will be sorely missed, and we wish her the best of luck as she continues her studies! Read 2 Comments... >> |
